Job Title: Childhood Trauma Project Marketing Facilitator/Educator

 

Reports to:  Whiteside County Healthier Communities Partnership Board of Directors

 

The 26-year-old Partnership (WCHCP) consists of 50-plus agencies which have worked over the years to answer the identified urgent and ongoing needs and gaps in care in Whiteside County. Our mission is to create a healthier and safer Whiteside County.

 

Members represent healthcare, mental health, schools, the courts, law enforcement, government, businesses, the area Chamber, and religious organizations, as well as concerned community individuals. Among other projects, the WCHCP has been responsible for initiating the creation of the Whiteside County Community Care Clinic, Whiteside County Public Transportation, Sauk Valley Area Foodbank, Let’s Feed Our Children, and a variety of education programs.

 

Hours: 25 hours/month for 12 months

 

Compensation: $40/hour

Purpose: The Whiteside County Healthier Communities Partnership (WCHCP) is searching for a self-motivated, fully engaged marketing facilitator/educator to oversee and enable the success of the Partnership’s new Childhood Trauma Project Marketing and Education initiative. The coalition is working together to alleviate and reduce childhood trauma. In early 2021, WCHCP adopted the goal “to impact agency and community awareness, through education and training sessions, of childhood trauma/ACES screenings, affecting future increased positive outcomes.”

The Marketing Facilitator/Educator will educate the public on childhood trauma. As well as educational presentations, responsibilities will include developing power points and brochures, scheduling approximately 40 presentations, and working with other social services to facilitate referrals for children experiencing childhood trauma.  The Marketing Facilitator/Educator will work closely with the WCHCP Board of Directors and the Treasurer to assure a variety of successful marketing is completed, including TV, radio, newspaper, and social media promotions.  The marketing Facilitator/Educator will also be responsible for tracking activities and reporting.

Marketing Facilitator/Educator Requirements:

  • Associate Degree, (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)

  • Relevant education experience

  • Able to network, build teams

  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter

  • Capacity to formulate applicable, connective resource materials

  • Ability to drive critical, participant-led dialogues

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Good planning skills

  • Respectful, astute, and accommodating

Marketing Facilitator/Educator Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project development, carry out action steps

  • Develop, update and improve initiative components over time

  • Create written/audio/visual materials to educate, and promote awareness of childhood trauma

  • Organize supplies and resources for presentations.

  • Collaborate with Partnership committees on media campaign messaging, tactics

  • Plan, schedule, and implement educational presentations with groups, clubs, schools, churches

  • Maintain outreach metrics

  • Work with the Partnership Board of Directors to carry out the project

  • Write reports, provide updates on activities
